Introduction
Tween 20, also called polysorbate-20 or Polyethoxylated lauric acid salicylic alcohol, a Tween-like non-ionic surfactant derived from sorbitan esters that is miscible in water. It is widely used in biochemical research and biomedical fields, including but not limited to the following applications :(1) as an emulsifier for the preparation of stable water-in-oil emulsions, especially in the pharmaceutical industry; (2) In the extraction experiments of membrane-bound proteins, the perimembrane proteins were usually removed at 2% concentration; (3) In immunological experiments based on membrane detection, it is often used as a blocking agent at a concentration of 0.05%; (4) It was used to lyse mammalian cells at a concentration of 0.005~0.5%.

Instruction
Tween 20 is a lauric acid ester, soluble in water, ethanol, oil and grease. This product can be diluted to the appropriate concentration with laboratory purified water (recommended G4701) or distilled water.
Used as a sealer in western blot experiments. The most common sealers are BSA, skim milk powder, casein, gelatin, and a dilute solution of Tween-20 (0.05 - 0.1%).
Typically used in immunoblotting and ELISA, Tween-20 is often used as a non-ionic detergent in wash buffers such as TBS-T, PBS-T, and 0.05% Tween-20 can be used in ELISA.
Used in gas chromatography as a fixing agent for the separation and analysis of volatile oils, fatty acid esters, alcohols, ketones, halogenated compounds.
Used for mammalian cell lysis, generally at a concentration of 0.005~0.5%.
As a co-solvent for membrane proteins, e.g., in membrane-bound protein extraction experiments, membrane peripheral proteins are often removed at a concentration of 2%.
Note
1. This product cannot be autoclaved. If it is needed for sterile experiments, it is recommended to dilute it into a certain concentration and filter it with 0.22 μm filter membrane to remove bacteria.
2. This product will solidify at low temperature, and can be used normally after rewarming and melting.
3. For your safety and health, please wear lab coat and disposable gloves when operating.
